> What changed in ProofAge in August 2026.

  * **Media is served by the API.** Image URLs returned by `GET /v1/verifications/{id}/document` are API URLs that you download with a signed request; presigned storage links are no longer handed out. See [Reading results](/integration/retrieving-results).
  * **Duplicate detection counts accounts.** `duplicate_count` is the number of other accounts (distinct `external_id`s) with the same face, and the full set is reported. See [Duplicate detection](/core-technology/duplicate-detection).
