# Shopify

> Add age verification to a Shopify store with the ProofAge app.

The ProofAge app adds an age gate to your Shopify storefront, so you can sell age-restricted products responsibly. Shoppers verify their age with the hosted ProofAge verification before they buy.

## Set it up

    Install ProofAge from the [Shopify App Store](https://apps.shopify.com/proofage) and connect your shop in the app. Connecting creates a ProofAge workspace for the shop with your minimum age; there are no keys to copy.

    Activate ProofAge in your theme, from the theme editor.

    Apply the gate to all products or only to selected collections, and choose the verification settings that fit your store.

## What the shopper sees

On a protected product, a gate opens and asks the shopper to verify their age. They complete the ProofAge verification and come back to the store; once approved, the gate stays open for them. The verification is available in 28 languages.

## Pricing

The app is billed through your Shopify invoice, at the rates on the [App Store listing](https://apps.shopify.com/proofage): a monthly plan plus a fee per accepted verification. These replace the [direct pricing](/getting-started/pricing) for verifications made through the app.
